Ansel Adams education before attending a private school was being tutored at home by his father and aunt because of his trouble of fitting in school. Beside having a love for photography, Ansel took on the profession of being a piano player. With all the problems he had as he was young the piano seemed to help ease how bad they were. In the year 1927, Ansel created his first monolith, the Face of Half Dome. Ansel Adams life evolved around photography: he spent about eighteen hours a day and there wasn't any days off no matter the day. As for his pictures, they show the love he had towards the environment and wilderness that his was even an activist to protect it. Throughout his photography life, Adams created the "zone system." Using the zone system, you would visualize how you would want an image to turn out and then take a picture of it that was very close to what you imagined.

This is the image I chose from Ansel Adams because I thought it looked amazing even in black in white. Usually what catches your attention are the vibrant colors in an image but in this case the color doesn't matter. This shows Adams love for nature. The black and white in this image go perfect as they stand out but at the same time blend in.
